Clean mountain waters, varied pasture grasses, legumes, forbs, and a stress-free environment are the backbones of Scott Hollow Farm beef. The special flavor of our beef comes from this natural environment and long lazy months of grazing on these rich pastures. 

Important beef quality characteristics:

  • Our cattle are fed no antibiotics or growth hormones.
  • Our beef is processed by T&E Meats in Harrisonburg, Virginia. T&E is recognized for adhering to strict animal welfare standards and is certified by federal and state agencies and many national organizations.
  • To further enhance the inherent flavor of our beef, it is dry aged for three weeks before custom cutting.

For those who may not be aware of the health benefits of grass-fed beef, unlike feedlot, grain finished beef available at the grocery store, Scott Hollow Farm beef is high in Omega-3 fats (the same healthy HDL fats found in salmon), low in LDL fats, and contains CLAs, or conjugated linoleic acid, a powerful natural cancer-fighting antioxidant. Scott Hollow Farm beef is allowed to develop all of its natural health benefits the same way it develops its flavor, by grazing on healthy pastures longer.

One of the greatest advantages of purchasing Scott Hollow Farm beef is the local consumer knows exactly where their beef comes from and how it’s treated.
